My strategy involves:

Recommend passive design features to reduce the need for heating, cooling, lighting etc.
Selection of efficient services
Incorporate renewable resources like solar, rain water etc.
Using computer modelling to evaluate design options
Encourage integrated design practice to capture holistic opportunities.

I’m not offering “bare minimum” ESD services such as Sustainable Design Assessments and Section J compliance reports. There are plenty of companies offering these services.

I don’t currently hold assessor status for Green Star or NABERS, although I have in the past. If certified ratings are required these can be handled with a separate or sub-contract.

I generally don’t work on single dwellings unless the project is particularly ambitious, challenging and exciting!
